God transformed Paul's life from persecuting Christians to preaching the gospel to the gentiles. God turns our lives around and uses us for the sake of His glory, whatever our age or background. Mark talks about how we can all be faithful stewards of God's grace using our gifts to serve in and through the church. He encourages us to receive Jesus' grace and love and fan into flame the gifts God has given us.
