Have you ever thought about who Jesus appeared to on the day of His resurrection and why? He doesn't do what you might expect. Jesus has a plan for the extension of His kingdom and He is getting His followers, outsiders who He has brought inside, ready. Jesus walks with us in our grief and suffering, but He is unafraid to confront any distorted views we have of Him. He brings us in and gets us ready to reach outsiders. He walks with us, corrects and encourages us through His word, and opens our eyes to who He is and what He has done.
