When we say 'Jesus Christ' we are saying Jesus 'the anointed one'. Jesus is the fulfilment of a promise from Genesis 49, 'out of the line of Judah a king will rule'. Jesus proclaimed Himself the anointed One when He quoted Isaiah 61 in the synagogue (Luke 4:18-21). Peter tells us how Jesus was anointed with 'Holy Spirit and power' (Acts 10:38). Joe explains what that meant for Jesus and what it means for our identity as Christ followers today.
