Psalm 51 is a prayer of repentance that David prayed after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba. All of us have sinned and messed up. The good news is that because of Jesus death on the cross we can all now come and confess our sins and 'God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9). How do we do that? Following David's pattern in this Psalm, Joe encourages us to come before God in humility - to confess our sin, to receive God's mercy and be cleansed, to ask God to create in us a pure heart, and to celebrate the mercy we receive.
