This passage in Ephesians shapes how we view church leadership and how the church is structured. Mark explains the roles of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers and how we need all these ministries in the church to equip (or mend) us for works of service so we in turn can serve and contribute to the church body. There is a city, a nation and a world to be reached and this is how God chooses to do it - he uses us...equipped by his gifts of people to the church.
